BridgeWay Opening in the Fall

The work on BridgeWay North American School in Mexico City has gone through many phases and almost ended several times over the seven years since the project was conceived. Our amazing and persistent colleagues in Mexico have prayed and worked through a lot to achieve the vision of this innovative, unprecedented tool of reaching this difficult-to-reach region of Mexico City with the gospel.

Praise God! David Brownrigg, the school director, is anticipating that classes will begin this fall.

TeachBeyond’s Latin America Director Howard Dueck said, “The word the Lord gave me, in response to the many times it has almost died, came from the theme of a devotional reading in Luke 24: Resurrection!”

“As I shared this message with the TeachBeyond Mexico board,” Howard continued, “it resonated and mingled with key words the others had also received. Pray with us that the depths of the challenges will be proportional to the heights of the victories and number of souls yet to be won.”

Beginning with a biblically-based moral framework, BridgeWay is committed to providing students with the best possible program of academics. The international nature of the school encourages a spirit of cooperation and an appreciation for diversity by developing an awareness of and respect for people of other cultures.

Pray for finances, because the year-long delay exhausted start-up funds for BridgeWay.

We also need to staff the school. Some teachers and support staff who were ready to start in 2016 have found other positions.
